For crying out loud, this anime should be called Dragon Quest "Antagonist" no Daibouken. Every single antagonist is a cool hero, every...single...one. Baran is just a terrifying god though.
Poor Hadlar-sama can't get his redemption, give the demon lord a break.
Keeps working his ass off.
Dies twice.
Fails to defeat anyone.
Finds out his boss, the only person he swears his loyalty to, planted a doomsday weapon inside him after the second time he had died in a rather humiliating manner.
Gets his long awaited fair duel with Avan's disciple taken away from him, his one chance to prove his own strength against the now dead Avan.
I hope Baran saves Hadlar in some way or another, even if Baran has to die in exchange. Hadlar is THIS close to reaching a satisfying conclusion.
