Do you happen to make and sell the corsets based on the Pretty Housemaid model? I'm not quite in the market for a corset yet, but I'm still nosing about for my options... I suspect a Pretty Housmaid type model would fit most what I'm interested in.

I just discovered your channel and I love it. Very informative and lovely. I am just curious if you could point me toward any sources where I might learn more about working class people of the late Victorian era, specifically woman factory workers and lower class city dwelling families in the latter half of the 1890’s. I can find a lot different general information, but I am specifically interested in how younger single women of the time would have dressed, made a living, and lived day to day. Any information source would be appreciated from books to blogs. Thank you and keep up your wonderful channel. 😊

面白い！自分はホテルのレストランでサービス業をしているけど、時々厨房の手伝いで料理を盛り付けることがあるんだけど、そのときには必ずスチームプロテクター？を着けるようになってるんだよね
Interesting! I work in hotel service in the restaurant, and from time to time we're required to assist the kitchen with plating up certain dishes and when we do we're always required to wear steam protectors! Great videos btw!

SO many layers! I can't imagine walking down the street comfortably in that, let alone having to sweat and toil and bend and kneel and clean and lug things around. By the time I got everything on, I'd be ready to strip it all off again.

I was looking at the 1901 Irish census and discovered that my great grandparents had a servant living in their household. Although I suspect she was more to help out on the dairy farm they had!

Why are the bodices always so tight? How could you get anything done if your arms are bound up with a tight sleeve?

下着のように股の間にペチコートを巻くこともあれば、シミが見えないように余分なペチコートを使うこともあった。18世紀にどのように扱われていたかをAbby Coxが動画で紹介してた。使い捨ての製品はまだなかったけどね
Sometimes they could use a petticoat wrapped around and between the legs like underwear, and maybe an extra petticoat to prevent stains from being seen. Abby Cox did a video about how this was handled in I believe the 18th century. No disposable products yet, though.

It's a fictional story but I'd like to recommend "Alias Grace" both  the book and show.  It's about an Irish immigrant working as a maid in Canada spanning 1840s to 1880s. When she is charged with murder and works with a psychologist to retrace her steps as she claims she can't remember the crime.
