ヒュンケルの初登場時は黒い眉毛でひねくれたような見た目してたんだけど、後にヒュンケルが己の悪行を改めるあたりでは眉毛が髪の毛と同じ色になってるんだよね
I actually felt similarly about something in the manga too, in Hyunckel's debut arc he had black eyebrows that made him look a lot more twisted, later that is dropped so his eyebrows match his hair when he stops his evil streak.

全6話と思ってHuluで2話まで観てたら7話目が追加されてて進行中のシリーズだと気づいてもういいやと思ってシリーズが完結するまで待つことにした。今のとこcoolだったんだけどね
Saw two episodes on Hulu when I thought it was six total, then they added a seventh and I realized it was an ongoing current series so said screw it. I'll wait until the whole season is done to watch them. Looked p. cool so far I guess though.

2話遅れだけど今のとこシリーズを楽しんでる
ペースは少し早いけど、各話原作通りにやってもらってるから問題ない。東映がこのシリーズで頑張ってるのにも驚いてる。アニメーションの質がずっと落ちてない
I'm like two eps behind, so far I'm enjoying this series, the pace is a bit fast but since there's actual stuff that's happening in each ep I'm fine with it. Also surprised that Toei is actually trying in this series, animation has stayed consistently good.

It's a shame they drop the design when he becomes good, and he switches to a lance too.

クロコダインが助けに来てくれるのは予想外だったけど来てくれて助かった
ヒュンケルには共感するところもあるけど怒りに目がくらんだのは愚かだと思う。父親は死んだのは確かだけど世界を滅ぼそうとする魔王配下の将だった
いつも通りエピソードを楽しんだよ。ダイとポップがマァムを取り戻すために何を企んでいるか、見るのが楽しみだ。
Man I wasn’t expecting Crocodine to come to Dai’s rescue, but good thing he did because shit was getting hectic.
You have to empathise with Hyunckel somewhat. But him being blinded by rage is pretty stupid IMO. Yea, your father died, but he was a general for someone bent on destroying the world. It’s not like he was raising puppies and Avan just murdered him. But shonen’s gonna shonen.
Really enjoyed the episode as usual, can’t wait to see what Dai and Pop cook up to get Maam back.

Hyunckel has such a sad backstory, but that also give him a high chance to change to good side. Though I think he's skilled enough to fight three of them without using armor, he looks sexier in his usual cloth, and no cloth...

クロコダインの宗旨変えは予想よりも早かったな。ヒュンケルの生い立ちにはあんまりハマらないな。モンスターに育てられたってのはダイとの対比になってて面白いんだけど、ちょっとくだらないと思ってしまった。アバンが本当に殺したのかも気になるし。とにかく今回も良かった。来週のタイトルは、ダイとポップが一緒に稲妻の呪文を唱えるのかな？
Wow, the Crocodine heel/face turn came much sooner than I expected. Hyunckel's backstory I'm a bit less enthusiastic regarding. I enjoyed the raised by monsters parallel it has with Dai's own, but part of me just found it a bit too silly. Oh no, skeleton papa turned to dust! Ya know? Plus part of me wonders if Avan was even the real one who killed him, the already undead skeleton, but probably. Regardless good stuff yet again. This Zapple in next week's title...Is it a lightning spell Dai and Pop will need to cast together or something? That's my guess anyway.

I was very angry with Hyunckel, because he acted like a hypocrite for hating humans. His real parents and his hometown were killed by the army of demons and yet he doesn't hate demons. The protagonists should strike some trues in his face.

I really wasn’t expecting Hyunckel’s backstory to hit me in the feels the way it did. Especially with how similar his story is to Dai’s. Every single episode is so impactful! I’m really enjoying it and I’m so glad Toei decided to remake it.

今のところ超良いね
90年代のスピンオフ漫画のリメイクアニメであって、ゲームのアニメ化ではない。
びっくりするくらいテンポや戦闘シーンに一貫性がある。個人的に唯一の批判点はダウンタイム(息抜き)が限られてること。決して車輪の再発明なんかではなく、少年漫画がすべきことをしっかり全てやっていて、それが成功してる
Super good so far. It doesn't adapt any of the games though, it is a remake adaptation of a spin off manga that was published in the 90s, and is surprisingly consistent in the pacing and fight scenes. My only criticism is that the down time has limited direction animation wise. It is by no means reinventing the wheel, but it does literally everything a shonen should do, and it does is successfully.

伝統的でシンプル。剣と魔法モノであるのとストーリーテリングの面で昔のおとぎ話のようにも感じられる。やってみろよ。1,2,3はあまりストーリーがヘビーじゃない
Traditional in the most literal sense and very simple as a result. Lighthearted swords and sorcery type deal and can feel like an old fairy tale in terms of storytelling. Give them a try. 1, 2 and 3 aren't very story heavy though.
