Sakuna has better farming mechanics but there's only one crop and there's no romance or friendship mechanics. Sakuna's base combat is more fun, while rune factory's combat is focused more on crafting equipment and stats rather than execution. Overall I would say I like Sakuna more but it really depends on what you're looking for.

I was pretty slow about progressing in areas, by the time I fought the deer I annihilated him in like 4 combos. That was after the first harvest. Just wait until your next harvest if you're having a tough time.
