I rewatched the prologue scene. Kazuki says

"Boku wa kondo koso tsunagari wo mamoranakya ikenai"

That sounds like a timeloop. What if Sara really is literally Kazuki?

I really don't think it's a time loop. Isn't that line just alluding to Kazuki breaking his connection by letting Haruka get hit by that car. Now he's "protecting" it by doing all that crazy shit.

㋐はポータルを示唆してるのか？1話冒頭のアレを見てタイムループ説or煉獄説をありだとすると割とある気がする

でも主人公たちはゾンビが出た時にカワウソ(カッパ？)になる。1話でケッピが燕太にアを打ったらカズキとトオイが見えるようになった。

ア=リアリティ、人間が見る世界

カワウソ(マーク？)=欲望フィールド、人間にはカッパやゾンビは見えない

Are the ア to indicate a portal? It seems like a possibly obvious thought when looking at the first episode and thinking timeloop/purgatory but they change to the otters when the zombies come out. In the first ep Keppi shoots the ア onto Enta for him to be able to see Kazuki and Tooi. 

ア = "reality" the world humans can see

Otters = field of desire/humans can't see kappas and zombies
