ピンポンで俺が一番気に入ってるのは、「悪いやつ」ってのがいないこと。みんなが普通の動機を持ってて、それぞれが勝利を得るためにベストを尽くし、互いの成長のために助け合ってる

佐久間がボコボコにされた後で似たような境地に1人でたどり着いたとこも好き
That scene of the coach telling kong his life has just begun even if it might not be one with ping pong at the centre was pretty nice.
I also like how sakuma had to come to a similar realization but by himself and only after being curb stomped and facing himself and his inabilities instead of being "my hardwork will f*ck you cunts up, f*ck the bullshit that is 'talent' and f*ck everything else".

Peco was more talented than everyone, but he didn't win until he took the game seriously. There's a bunch of themes, but every character arc is a variation of talent/passion/hard work.
